What’s that? You want to be spoiled some more?
Heroic Hollywood is running a rumour that Warner Bros. is planning to release two more trailers, just under a month from now on October 26th. What’s so special about the 26th? It’ll be when I head out to buy my Donald Trump Halloween costume, but there is something(s) even more exciting going on – well, perhaps not more exciting, but still kinda exciting.
It’s the premiere of a new DC show and a new episode of another: Supergirl and Gotham Season 2!
Making the ridiculous competing-scheduling of those two shows somewhat justifiable, a one-minute teaser focused solely on Superman will air during his cousin’s new show, and a one-minute teaser focused on Batman will air during the prequel’s sixth episode. So much like the movie, you fanboys and fangirls can fight to the death over which trailer is better.
This will apparently lead to a big new trailer at Thanksgiving to screen before Warner Bros.’ Creed, as well as Spectre and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 (maybe). Exciting stuff, huh?
It’s a clever marketing technique, as well as really hightening the competition between those two shows. Whether that will work out in the long-run remains to be seen, although I have a slight suspicion that Batman’s teaser will end up with more views. Sorry Clark.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice punches its way into theaters on March 25th, 2016. I wonder how it’ll manage to beat the last trailer…
