Blu-Ray Details for Marvel’s Avengers Assemble

While Marvel’s Avengers Assemble (or simply The Avengers, if you’re in the States) continues to dominate box offices around the globe, Disney has already laid plans for the epic’s Blu-Ray/DVD release.

Well, the most important news to come out of this leak is that they’ve included another one-shot short film in the special features, just like the ones the House of Ideas developed for Thor’s home video release. But since (SPOILERS!) Agent Coulson won’t be around to offer any witty one liners, you know… because Loki prison shanked him, I wonder who will star. Hmm, Maria Hill? Nick Fury? A very Vision-esque Coulson cyborg? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Apparently the short is titled Item 47 which doesn’t ring a bell in my very Marvel-centric mind. Do you know what it could be?

Here’s some the release details as well as some very mighty cover art.

Heyo. I'm Nick Dourian, the Editor-In-Chief around these parts. Now, I went to a few other sites, read a few awesome bios, and I really want to fabricate a badass origins story for myself, but I'm feeling particularly unimaginative today, so 'f' that jazz. I read comics, drink bourbon, and cook meats. Imagine Ron Swanson, but with a fuller beard and cuter eyes.

why does such an awesome film have such crappy posters and DVD art?

think i’ll end up making my own using a still from where they all confront Loki at the end

That’s an impressive blu-ray, except the art. Maybe they’ll put out a variant special edition like they did with the first Iron Man, where the cover doesn’t blow dogs for quarters.
