BATMAN Might Rock The Armor In BATMAN VS SUPERMAN

For a movie whose title character is Superman, many of the rumors that have circulated around Batman vs. Superman concern his co-star the Caped Crusader, with most people wondering what Batman’s costume will look like in the film. Well luckily for us, Latino Review has uncovered some more info on the new Batsuit, although keep in mind that until Warner Bros. shows us a picture, nothing is for certain.

We’ve heard previously that Batman might wear the grey-and blue suit for the first time in film since Adam West wore it so proudly in the 1966 film. Yesterday, Latino Review writer Da7e suggested that while it’s true, it wouldn’t be the only suit he wore.

The more interesting thing I’ve heard is that Batman will actually wear 2 batsuits in the film, but where as Grey-and-Blue has already been designed and Affleck has worn it, the second Batsuit is more armored like the one in the Dark Knight Returns and Kingdom Come comics. I bring this up, because this rumor seems a bit more expected in a movie where Batman fights Superman, because: of course, Batman would die without an armored suit.

Today, writer El Mayimbe offered an update on the armor that Batman would rock against Supes.

According to the source, the plating is silver/white. The plates are attached to a black undercloth. The plates doesn’t cover his entire body. We see the black undercloth at the joints. Supposedly, it looks incredible. Equally, or maybe even better-looking than the other suit and it’s leagues above and beyond Bale’s suit from what I’m told.

He also said that we can expect our first look at the costume in February/early March. Considering you’ve delayed this film almost a year, Warner Bros, I expect a high quality image and not some grainy shot of the suit taken from a camera phone on-set.

The armor being based on the Kingdom Come and The Dark Knight Returns design isn’t anything new, but I’m honestly surprised by the color scheme. I’m actually excited to hear that Affleck might wear the gray-and-blue costume since we’ve already seen a lot of variations of the black suit, but I thought they’d stick with plain black for the armor. Still, I’m glad he’s breaking out the big guns (sorry, poor metaphor for Batman) to take on any other threat that a cloth or rubber suit can’t protect him from.

Since this Batman seems to be more of a strategist than Nolan’s Batman was, it makes sense that he’s have the weaponry to take on Superman if anything should happen. However, if Kryptonite doesn’t exist in this continuity, Batman is going to have a hell of a time trying to beat the Kryptonian. After all, this is a guy to can shoot lasers from his eyes and punched someone mid-air across several city blocks. It’s not going to be easy at all.
