BATMAN’s Wife Is Digging The New Costume

Okay, let me clarify: Batman did not get hitched in the comics, although him and Catwoman secretly eloping would make for quite a bizarre issue. No, I’m talking about Ben Affleck’s wife Jennifer Garner. While being interviewed by Entertainment Tonight at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Garner revealed her thoughts that her hubby The Batfleck will be wearing in the recently delayed Batman vs. Superman movie. Take a look below, and don’t be fooled by the video length. You only need to watch the first 20 seconds.

┬áThe suit is unbeliveably cool. It’s a total reinvention. It looks great.

It sounds like we won’t be seeing any rehashes of previous Batsuits, which in the case of Clooney’s BatNipple costume is especially good to hear. Garner isn’t the only celebrity that hasn’t gotten a glimpse of the costume. Back in November, Kevin Smith revealed that director Zack Snyder had shown him a picture of Affleck in the suit, and he was extremely pleased with what he saw.

You have not seen this costume in a movie on film before. And for a comic book fan, it was mind-bending. Only [Zack Snyder] has enough power to pull this off.

There have been different reports on what the costume will look like. One rumor is that it will be based on the design from artist Alex Ross, while others speculate that the Caped Crusader might also don a kind of Bat-armor in the film, similar to the one seen in Kingdom Come. Considering how experienced Affleck’s Batman is supposed to be, I wouldn’t be surprised if he has multiple suits ready for different occasions. Similar to what we saw in Batman Forever and Batman and Robin except…you know, WAY better. Definitely no Bat-skates.

Either way, with the film’s release delayed, don’t expect to see an official glimpse of the Batsuit for at least a couple months, if not until the summer.
