Trouble With the BATMAN VS SUPERMAN Script

The BATMAN VS SUPERMAN script isn’t finished. Not yet. A troubling fact, especially since David S. Goyer’s version of the tale was completed in 2013, according to reports. All of that was before Ben Affleck brought his Argo scribe Chris Terrio onboard the superhero team-up to redraft. A sound choice, especially since Goyer’s suffered a few heaping handfuls of criticism following the release of Man of Steel, the Superman Reboot which he scripted.

Well, according to Jeremy Irons, the Alred of Batman vs Superman, the script is unfinished. Here’s what he said:

“The script isn’t entirely finished… I’ve read a script. I think it’s not finalized yet.”

As much as my little dangerously enlarged Marvel colored heart wants DC to fail, that truly only comprises a teeny bit of my mind. Batman Vs Superman absolutely MUST succeed, or else we’re doomed to a superhero cinematic community ruled by only Marvel Studios, and even though I love the House of Ideas, competition does good for the soul.

And, in all fairness, Joss Whedon actively edited The Avengers while shooting in 2011. As did Peter Jackson with The Lord of The Rings in 1999. So this is certainly not unusual, and Batman vs Superman still has an honest chance of surprising us in its release.
