So What’s This About The Wii U Sucking Major Dong?

Yesterday reports leaked online (as they tend to do) about Nintendo’s newest, shiny white console, the Wii U. What did they say? Well, nothing nice. In fact, if you’re a Nintendo fanboy like me (I do love my SNES), then this news might just drop you to your knees in a sad, heart-broken, sobbing display of man-child disappointment.

According to IGN and they’re always reliable network of sources (sarcasm people!), some super secret developers, who the gaming site has refused to identify, have been tinkering around with the Wii U for quite some time, and they’ve decided that it’s s***. Well, they didn’t say it like that, they’re far too classy to cuss, so here’s what they did say…

“No, it’s not up to the same level as the PS3 or the 360,” one developer apparently said. “The graphics are just not as powerful.”

“Yeah, that’s true. It doesn’t produce graphics as well as the PS3 or the 360,” the story report another developer at a major company said. “There aren’t as many shaders, it’s not as capable. Sure, some things are better, mostly as a result of it being a more modern design. But overall the Wii U just can’t quite keep up.”

So… do you believe it? Or is this just too speculative? In all honesty, if Nintendo produced another VASTLY underpowered piece of hardware, it wouldn’t surprise me. Would I be disappointed? Hell yea, I would be! But, after the Wii, I’ve learned to expect the worst.
