New VIEWTIFUL JOE Could Be On The Horizon

In a recent interview with Famitsu, game director Hideki Kamiya said if he was to work on a sequel to a game it would be Viewtiful Joe 3 rather than Bayonetta 2. While this is bad news for the magic hair-clad witch, it’s great news for any of you who remember the crazy, over the top comic style action of the first two Viewtiful Joe games, not seen in his own game since 2004.

There is still a possibility we will return to Bayonetta’s universe at some point though as Kamiya says he still meets up with the game’s producer for beers and talk of sequels or spinoffs. Either way, I’m eager for more games in both series and so far Platinum Games have been knocking it out of the park with their recent releases. Their newest game, Anarchy Reigns, is due out in Europe on the 31st March.
