Marvel LEGO Video Game Announced… Oh… My… GAWD!

Warner Bros. announced today that Marvel Comics will finally be getting a LEGO video game, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, which will be released this fall. The game will “complement” the current Marvel LEGO toys.

In the game’s story mode, SHIELD leader Nick Fury enlists the help of the armored Iron Man, the super strong Hulk, the thunder god Thor, the amazing Spider-Man, clawed-hero Wolverine, and many other Marvel heroes to defend the Earth from the god of mischief Loki and the planet-eater Galactus. The levels in the game will vary, from New York City to other Marvel Comic locations that fans will recognize.

The game will have over 100 characters! Do you want to throw a LEGO version of Captain America’s sheid? You can do that. Do you want to hear a LEGO Deadpool fire wisecracks? You can hear that. Even Galactus will be playable, although I wonder how many LEGO blocks you would need to build him. The game will be released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS.

DC Comics already have a few LEGO games, with a DC LEGO film being released later this year.

Anyway….this actually sounds pretty cool, and if the script and humor are as clever as previous LEGO games, than adults and kids alike should be able to enjoy this one.
