EPIC MICKEY 2 Heads to VITA With New Touch-Screen Painting!

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, is already available on quite a few consoles: PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and the Wii U. You would think that would be enough, but it seems the game will soon be making the leap to handheld. Sony has confirmed that Epic Mickey 2 will be released for the PlayStation Vita handheld on June 18.

The Vita version will bring with it all-new features, including new painting options revolving around touch-screen technology. For example, you’ll be able to control Oswald’s electric beam using the touch-screen. You’ll also be able to control the camera while driving, burst bubbles and other projectiles, navigate menus, and other new gimmicks.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, which was originally released Winter 2012, sees Disney icons Mickey Mouse and Oswald team up against a dark evil. To fight this evil, both protagonists use magic paint (!) Unfortunately, sales for the game were pretty weak, which is part of the reason why I’m confused as to why they would bother porting it.

So…think you’ll buy this new version?
