The Squidder #2 Review

What is going on the post apocalyptic world, where giant squids have become the overlords of the world? Read on to find out more in this comic.

The Squidder steals back a slave for a local strong man, only to realize success with the job means upsetting the fragile balance of human power. With the aid of the very Squid cult he hates, he realizes there’s a new game afoot and an old war still worth fighting, while more powerful eyes finally start to take notice.

The world is not black and white anymore it is in fact a scary place Squidder-02-pr-1-b4318overrun with giant monsters, they are crazy and I cannot help but think that this existence is not living. It is not a healthy world with anyone in it that can save you. This brings forth our hero who is a Squidder. This issue brings a lot of characters and ideas to the front, which brings forth the hopes of humanity and our character. I didn’t care for the first issue but this one is making up for the other. It is fantastic. You really get a feel for the main character and the way that it is done is, both, enjoyable and heartbreaking.

The writing is very deep and seems to be something that you will have to read a couple times to fully understand what is being conveyed. It is, both, a blessing and a curse. I have to think that there is something more that is coming that will make it easier to get through.

The art is gritty. It very real and abstract and I really am starting to love that about this comic. You have to take a chance to look at it because it is worth the look.

The Squidder is starting to become something special and quick. It is fantastic.
