Nolan Thinks MAN OF STEEL is Tougher To Film Than THE DARK KNIGHT SAGA

Christopher Nolan has been on a press binge these past few weeks, and while he’s managed to remain mum on the most important issues (his involvement with the Justice League movie and Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s fate as Batman), he’s brought a few illuminating tidbits to the public.

In a recent interview, the Grand-Daddy of Dark Knight cinema lauded his Man of Steel director Zack Snyder, stating:

“Zack was the perfect man to take this on,” Nolan says. “He is unbelievably skilled at creating a coherent, cohesive world — whether it’s a very stylized world, like 300, or something that’s more challenging, more varied, like he did with Watchmen.”

Comparing it to his own tights and cape outings with Batman, Nolan said:

“In my honest appraisal, taking on Superman and creating that world is far more difficult than creating the world of the Dark Knight. He has a lot of finishing to do on the movie — it has a very long postproduction schedule because, unlike Batman, Superman flies.”

I especially agree with this last point. While Bruce Wayne has the benefit of the average joe’s troubles and woes (or as much as a billionaire, playboy, philanthropist can… as Tony Stark would say), Superman is a Sun god from a long lost planet. He can lift planets and reverse time. It’s pretty hard to sympathize with him.

But hopefully Snyder’s achieved that. I trust in his Producer, Nolan, and if he vouches for the guy, then I’m on board.

Batman personally asked me to post this for all the would be haters…
