New Footage in THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY Trailer

We’re still reeling from Peter Jackson’s post-SDCC announcement that The Hobbit will soon become a trilogy, and to add to our Tolkien frenzy, New Line’s decided to release an alternate trailer for An Unexpected Journey.

But don’t get your hopes up… this is almost an exact copy of the original one from a few months ago, with a few extra half-second clips thrown in for safe measure.

Well, if that didn’t bum you out entirely, give the video a looksy below. You’ve gotta cure your daily Gandalf fix somehow, right?

I’ve been watching this trailer (and the previous one) repeatedly over the past few weeks, and I’ve been wondering… who the hell is Gandalf fighting ontop of Dol Guldur? Is that the Necromancer?
