The latest addition to an extremely bleak summer in showbiz (following on from the suicide of Tony Scott last week), it has just been confirmed that Neil Armstrong, the first man to step foot on the moon, has died after weeks of heart surgery and mere days after his 82nd birthday.

Not much is known at this point, but we expect an official statement to be issues sooner or later regarding the circumstances of his death. But for now, all of us at Unleash The Fanboy send our thoughts and condolences to his friends and family.
