ZadyRawLadyZ01-5-49793I am always a sucker for a good female driven story, that is why I have always like Lady Zorro and Lady Rawhide but I wasn’t so sure about them being together because they are such large personalities, I thought it may take away. However, this comic rocks. The story is that Zorro gets killed and there are some really bad people trying to enslave a whole bunch of young women. Now, in order to save them, Lady Zorro and Lady Rawhide must get together to save these young girls from having terrible things happen to them. This issue has tons of feels with anger, hate, love, and more, which makes this story compelling and interesting.

Shannon Eric Denton is an interesting writer. I really enjoyed this issue but I thought the inciting incident was a little too farfetched and rushed. We could have waited a little longer and had more time with these characters separately but it still was pretty great.

Rey Villegas really brings these two heroines to life with his drawings. I do feel that he did a great job of not over sexualizing these characters with his style. It could have been much different but it is fantastic. It sleek, smooth, and fun.

Lady Rawhide/Lady Zorro has a good start, even if it moves a little too quickly.
