HARRISON FORD Confirms ‘Talks’ For BLADE RUNNER 2

Is Harrison Ford set to reprise his role in Blade Runner 2?  In a recent interview of Han Solo with IGN it seems that the answer to that question would be maybe, kind of, hopefully.  Ridley Scott already has writers working on a script for a sequel to Blade Runner, so there is that.  When IGN asked specifically if Ford was talking to Scott about a Blade Runner sequel this is how Indiana replied,

Yeah, we’ve been chatting about it.”

He went on to elaborate when asked about past comments he had made regarding issues with Ridley Scott and problems while filming the original Blade Runner,

I remember it with complication, but… I’m not there to generate nostalgic moments. I’m there to do a job of work and I quite understand that… Everybody has an ambition when they come into a film and that everyone’s ambition may not be so focused on the same thing. I truly admire Ridley as a man and as a director and I would be very happy to engage again with him in the telling – the further telling of this story.”

Sounds like Harrison is all for it and seems to like the story itself (which can mean nothing or everything).   This is still really early folks, but just maybe something will come of it.  Which will spark a new debate – how should the sequel be handled?  Patience is required in this stage of a sequel for Blade Runner, so brush up on Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? and maybe catch Minority Report again and keep your fingers crossed for some more news on Harrison Ford and Blade Runner 2.
