GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Gets ANIMATED

Let’s face facts the cosmic side of the Marvel universe finally got its day in the sun, as Guardians of the Galaxy rocked the theater experience of audience members the world over. And so it was only a matter of time before the motley crew landed with their own show on the small screen.

And coming out of NYCC fanboys and fangirls got the chance to either get excited or groan as the first trailer for this brand new animated iteration arrived.

I’m kind of excited about it. I’m not a huge fan of the current crop of Disney XD offerings but I could see myself watching this. Though that could be me just blinded by the fact that I want GOTG to continue to be successful as a brand so a whole generation of kids get to enjoy their space shenanigans. Characters like Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax the Destroyer, Rocket Raccoon and Groot matter and parents know, more or less, who they are now. Which means it’s a brand new day!

But what say you my lords and ladies of the interwebs? Are you up for it? Do we need a show like this? Or do the current crop of animated offerings from the House of Ideas annoy you to no end?
