Having originally been slated for an October 14th release date, fans must have been disappointed when Batman: Arkham Knight was pushed back to 2015. I know I was. Luckily however Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have finally given us a release date, June 2nd 2015. The game is set to be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with there also being two different collectors editions, Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition, and Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition. Both editions will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, with the Limited Edition also being available on PC, but only in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Batman: Arkham Knight Limited Edition will come in a Limited Edition Steelbook, with the package containing a 80 page art book, limited edition DC Comics Batman: Arkham Knight #0 comic book, three unique character skins from the New 52, and a Batman memorial statue. This edition is available for €99.99 (Europe) and £74.99 (UK) on PC and $99.99 (North America), €119.99 (Europe) and £89.99 (UK) on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Batman: Arkham Knight Batmobile Edition will include the exact same as the Limited Edition, but instead of the Batman memorial statue, you get a transformable Batmobile statue produced by Triforce. This edition is available for $199.99 (North America), €199.99 (Europe) and £169.99 (UK), though will only be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. So what are your thoughts on the new release date, and Batman: Arkham Knight in general? I know I for one am eager for this to be released, as though I don’t expect it to surpass the awesomeness that was Batman: Arkham City, I have every faith that it’ll beat the slightly disappointing performance of Batman: Arkham Origins. As for these collectors editions, these look a thing of beauty, and I know if I have the extra cash I’ll be getting one or another. Anyway that’s enough from me, what are you, my fellow fanboys thoughts?
