24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY Teasers Show London In Ruins

Super Bowl viewers might have been confused by several 14-second commercials scattered throughout the game that didn’t show much other than brief images of chaos, pandemonium, and in once instance a gun being cocked. Well, it turns out Fox was counting us down for Jack Bauer’s return in the upcoming miniseries 24: Live Another Day, which begins May 5. Take a look at the previews below.

These four snippets led to one final 40-second preview showing Jack and his socially awkward sidekick Chloe O’Brian navigating through a devastated London.

Oh yeah, Jack’s pissed off all right. This footage was shot specifically for the previews on January 22 before regular filming began on January 26. Nothing is revealed story wise other than Chloe sporting a new hairdo and London being chosen as the newest target for a terrorist attack. Jack just can’t avoid trouble at all, can he? I’m guessing all that destruction occurs in just the first hour.

Unfortunately, we probably won’t see a trailer featuring footage from the miniseries until around late March or early April. 24: Live Another Day features the return of Jack Bauer four years after the original series ended with Jack still a fugitive from the American government. In addition to Mary Lynn Rajskub returning as Chloe, other returning cast members include Kim Raver as Audrey Raines and William Devane as James Heller, who is now President of the United States. New cast members include Michael Wincott, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Giles Matthey, Yvonne Strahovski, Benjamin Bratt, Tate Donovan, Judy Davis and Stephen Fry.
