You’re Welcome: Amazing First Poster for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Hits

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy‘s marketing has hit the ground running in the past few days, with a trailer and a bunch of featurettes both being released online this week. And now all the character introductions are done, it’s time to see the team in action – and Marvel have released the first poster for Guardians of the Galaxy showing just that, with Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot and of course, Rocket Racoon all featuring. Being Marvel, they’ve also slapped on their mammoth credentials (poor Incredible Hulk, he got left out) and the cockiest tagline of the year. You can check it out below:

I don’t know about you, but this poster is certainly the best we’ve seen of 2014’s blockbusters, and even one of Marvel’s best yet. It’s certainly leaps and bounds ahead of Marvel’s Photoshopped effort for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Also, ‘You’re Welcome’ is the best tagline ever. Take note, rival studios.

Guardians of the Galaxy hits cinemas on August 1 and stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, John C Reilly, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan and the golden voices of Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.
