Wow Avengers, You’re Still Filming?

Apparently, over 4 years of combined production wasn’t enough for the cast and crew of The Avengers, they just need a bit more time. Or, at least that’s what Edgar Wright’s recent Tweet Fest would have you believe. In case you’re not familiar with this glorious man, he’s been in charge of Marvel’s frequently delayed Ant-Man film for the better part of 5 years. Anyways, in his latest 140 character binge, he revealed that…

Alright, I’ll admit, that’s not too revealing by itself. But combine that with Mark Ruffalo’s confirmation of a nighttime shoot in an interview with The Playlist, and baby, you got a mystery going! Here’s what the Ruff-meister said…

“We’re shooting a scene tonight. I’m not sure exactly where it’s gonna go. All I know is that someone came in with the costume and said, ‘Here’s some wardrobe. We don’t know where you’re going to be or what you’re doing.’ “

So, we have one nighttime shoot with the entire cast of The Avengers and a mysterious, albeit kinda obvious, Tweet by Edgar Wright. Is there an Ant-Man cameo in the works?  What do you think?

Heyo. I'm Nick Dourian, the Editor-In-Chief around these parts. Now, I went to a few other sites, read a few awesome bios, and I really want to fabricate a badass origins story for myself, but I'm feeling particularly unimaginative today, so 'f' that jazz. I read comics, drink bourbon, and cook meats. Imagine Ron Swanson, but with a fuller beard and cuter eyes.

Won’t happen. That tweet came from Wright on the 6 of April and Fiege has since confirmed that Wright hasn’t filmed anything for them yet, but might do in a few weeks. Plus, if there was an Ant-Man cameo an actor would have to have been cast. The logical assumption would be that the scene includes Tony and Banner, and is a tie-in for Iron Man 3.

      hmmm, interesting idea.

I think, in a ll fairness, that the scene last night won’t even be featured in The Avengers.

It just makes no sense for them to do last minute filming like that.
