Lately, we’ve been getting plenty of casting news for the upcoming Ninja Turtles film, which makes sense, since filming reportedly begins soon. Unfortunately, the film seems to have made a bad reputation for itself, so I’m not sure if even the best casting will be able to help! Still, they can try.

The latest actor to join the group in Will Arnett. He is probably best known for his roles as Gob Bluth in Arrested Development, and Chris in Up All Night. He also voiced The Missing Link in Monsters vs. Aliens.

It is currently unknown which role he is playing in Ninja Turtles, but The Hollywood Reporter claims that it won’t be Casey Jones. I have a feeling that he will portray a whole new character, because I doubt he’d play Shredder, and I can’t think of anyone else that, unless he voices some comic relief CGI villain.

Prior to this, other confirmed casting has been thus: Megan Fox as April O’Neil, Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Pete Ploszek as Leonardo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello, and Noel Fisher as Michelangelo. Splinter, Shredder, and Casey Jones have yet to be casted.

The film’s release date in June 6, 2014. Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans, Battle: Las Angeles) will be directing, with Michael Bay (Transformers) producing.
