TRANSFORMERS 4 “Ancient Evil” Accidentally Revealed By Michigan

The Autobots are returning to the Metro City for the first installment in a new trilogy with Transformers 4. According to Mark Wahlberg, the flick isn’t set to start filming until May, but did Michigan already spoil plot details for the new film?

The Michigan Film Office announced yesterday that the new robots in disguise romp was approved for an incentive of $20 million for their projected expenditures of $81,933,992 within Detroit and providing 339 jobs to 368 residents of Michigan.

The website went on to include:

“As humanity picks up the pieces, following the conclusion of Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have all but vanished from the face of the planet. However, a group of powerful, ingenious businessman and scientists attempt to learn from past Transformer incursions and push the boundaries of technology beyond what they can control – all while an ancient, powerful Transformer menace sets Earth in his crosshairs. The epic adventure and battle between good and evil, freedom and enslavement ensues. “

Back in June when Michael Bay was asked if in Transformers 4 they would go off planet his response was “That feels like the way to go, doesn’t it?”
The movies’s set to take place approximately 4 years after the disaster in Chicago which took place in Dark of the Moon. What we do know is that by the end of the last flick, Optimus was half destroyed and the Decepticons were decimated. In order for the franchise to have an inevitable direction without a full reboot there is only one step to take, enter Unicron (which goes along with our ‘debunked’ leak of the script’s first draft)

Unicron was a planet eating Transformer and in some of the lore has been considered a god and an embodiment of evil. Unicron even has connections to the Fallen, who we saw in Transformers 2.

Take this information as you will. Does “an ancient, powerful Transformer menace” refer to Unicron?

Transformers 4 is set to open on June 27, 2014.
