Thor: The Dark World Filming And Extras Update

Filming for Thor: The Dark World is set to begin next month, and Bleeding Cool report that Marvel are looking to head underground in long tunnels for several scenes in the sequel. They say that “we haven’t been able to confirm as taking place on Earth, on Asgard or elsewhere,” but the first thing that came to mind when I read this news was rather unusual, but perhaps they’re looking to film scenes set in the Asgard prisons, with Thor paying a visit to his brother Loki?

Yeah it’s probably not that. What’s more likely, however, is that because we have heard rumours the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim (I’m gonna have to get used to writing that), will pop up in the sequel, this is where those underground scenes will be set, out of the light…

But wait! The ever-reliable users of Tumblr strike again, and one user says that the studio have sent out a casting call looking for extras to play “fire entertainers” and “fire eaters”. We know what that means….

SURTUR!

Unless Thor and Jane head to a festival of some sort on Earth, of course.

“Men of Fire.

For the a new Marvel Super Hero feature film we are looking for men who are skilled in playing with fire to pretend to be warriors.

The Requirements:

Do you think we’ll see Thor face off with the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim AND the Fire Demons of Musphellheim in Thor: The Dark World? Sound off below.
