A Brand New Trailer For The Amazing Spider-Man Released!

Here she is, folks. The new trailer for The Amazing Spiderman has debuted, so let’s cut the chit-chat and have a gander:

OK, so let’s get the obvious out of the way: This is a very different Spiderman movie than we are accustomed to. I was expecting something different, and visually, this looks amazing. But something seems…off. The lack of focus on Uncle Ben, the heightened focus on Peter’s parents. Maybe Marc Webb is downplaying the stuff we already know for the trailers, but I hope they have paid proper tribute to Peter’s origin and the “with great power…” mantra on some level. As of now, I’m kind of nervous about this film. I hope I’m wrong.

and I don’t think we need to worry about uncle Ben as Marc Webb said this in his IGN interview

“Uncle Ben’s death is — well, you’ll have to see the movie — but there are a few elements that Marvel is very protective of and that I think are very important to the Spider-Man origin story,” said Webb. “Uncle Ben’s death transforming him and having an impact on him in certain ways is an incredibly important part of the mythology, and I would never subvert that. That’s all I’ll say about that. But I’m very protective of that.”
