Plans For A Third TAKEN Movie Underway

Despite utterly negative reactions from critics, the recent release of Taken 2 has been met with enormous box office success. It had a $40m opening weekend, and currently sits at $122m worldwide, so it’s a pretty good success already. Anyway, the screenwriter of the film, Robert Mark Kamen, has revealed in an interview with Hollywood.com that there are already discussions between him and Fox about a third movie. Read his comments below:

“We didn’t start talking about Taken 3 until we saw the numbers. But then we said, ‘Oh, okay. I think we should do a third one and now Fox wants us to do a third one. We’ve taken everyone we can take — it’s going to go in another direction. Should be interesting.”

I have to say, I’m pretty sure this concept might get a bit tedious by the time there’s a Taken 3. Although I haven’t seen either of the movies so I should probably check them out. What do you think? Share your thoughts below.
