New Ninja Turtle Promo Art: The Turtles Look Like Murderers

Cowabunga, duuuuuuuude!  A high quality image of a promotional standee being used at conventions for the new Ninja Turtle flick has hit the internet, baby!  And boy do they look freakin’ scary!

Seriously, those are some mean mugs.   I may have nightmares about these guys.  I don’t think I will ever go to the bathroom again.  I’m gonna be worried about the Turtles coming through the sewer pipes to kick my @$$.  It should be noted, the comic version is historically more brutal than the TV show and movies I grew up on, but dagnabit, I loved the cute Turtles from the cartoons with all their quasi-annoying catch phrases.

Also, realize there is no “Teenage Mutant” before the “Ninja Turtle.”  Are you guys and gals scarred now?

I can complain all I want about this movie destroying my childhood, but I have no right to whine because I never even watched the last flick and everyone hated it anyways.  Soooooo, maybe what we need is a meaner, more brutal turtle foursome.  Maybe this is what will bring them box office and critical success.

These new images remind me of the Jim Lee series of figures produced for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Series in 1995.  Yes, Jim freakin’ Lee was hired to redesigned the turtles and of course he redid them in a very Image’y style.  They just looked brutal.  Check them out Lee’s Donatello and tell me what you think?
