Kevin Feige Says No To FALCON And IRON PATRIOT Spin-Offs

Well, technically it’s War Machine but still. In another part of Collider‘s extensive interview with Kevin Feige, they put the question of whether we should expect to see spin-offs of sidekick characters War Machine/Iron Patriot (Iron Man 3) and Falcon (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) in the future. Sadly, Feige’s answer was a resounding “No.”

There’s been much debate recently about Robert Downey Jr’s contract renegotiations with Marvel, and if they do indeed turn for the worse then it’s still possible another character could take up the mantle in a fourth film – namely Don Cheadle as Iron Patriot. After Iron Man 2 was released it was revealed that there was development on a War Machine spin-off, but obviously it never amounted to anything.

I would definitely like to see movies for characters like Iron Patriot, Black Widow, Falcon (maybe) etc at some point down the line, but there’s so many other movies Marvel have to do first – sequels for Iron Man, Captain America, Thor etc, new properties such as GotG, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther and more.

What do you think? Would you like to see such spin-offs head your way? Share your thoughts below!
