Justice Leaguers Kick Parademon Ass in JUSTICE LEAGUE: WAR Trailer

We’ve know for awhile that DC Comics will be adapting their New 52 for their animated movies. The end of Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox hinted at this with the change in Flash and Batman’s costume, plus showing Parademons above Earth in the after-credits scene. Well, now we have our first full-length trailer at how the heroes first came together in Justice League: War, based on the opening six issues of Geoff Johns’ New 52 Justice League series.

Wow, this looks quite explosive, both literally and figuratively. We had already seen sketches of the characters previously, but now that I’ve seen them in action, I can definitely say that I prefer this animation style to Flashpoint Paradox’s. I’m still disappointed that they replaced Aquaman with Shazam for this movie, but I’m interested to see how they distinguish Shazam from Superman and the other heroes, considering that many non-comics fans don’t know who he is.

Shazam issue aside, the movie looks like it’s going to adapt the Origin arc very closely. The voices for each character sound good from what I can hear, and the fight scenes look just as fierce as they did in the comics. For some reason, I’m not too big on Darkseid’s design, but that’s a small issue, and he still looks intimidating which is the important thing.

My one gripe with the trailer: the music. Sometimes I couldn’t hear what the characters were saying, including Batman, and his voice usually commands my full attention. DC, in the future, please pick music that is way less obnoxious.
