John Logan Set To Write Two Inter-Connecting JAMES BOND Films

Skyfall hit UK cinemas today (it will be released in the US on November 9th) and tickets are selling like hotcakes – I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it outgrosses Casino Royale and becomes the biggest Bond film ever. There’s already early sequel talk and Deadline reveal that John Logan, who wrote Skyfall, has reached a deal with MGM to write both Bond 24 and Bond 25 simultaneously and have them featuring a connecting storyline, being the first time in the franchise this has happened.

Some could argue that Quantum of Solace was a direct sequel to Casino Royale, but I think what they mean is the movies will have the same villain, plot etc but just be spilt over two films. If this really is the case, then I have a feeling they might want to introduce Ernst Stavro Blofeld, James Bond’s arch-enemy, who hasn’t been seen on screen since 1981 (officially). Logan also penned Gladiator, Hugo, Sweeney Todd, The Last Samurai andRango. So in short, he’s a pretty damn good writer.

Are you pleased with this news? Who do you want to see direct the two films? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
