Get ready, sports fans! The jerseys are in, and now the game between Gotham City University and Metropolis State University can begin. Hut hut!

Batman-News has released images of the jerseys that will be used during the football shoot tomorrow for the Batman vs. Superman movie. Earlier this week, we learned that there would be filming during halftime of the East Los Angeles College football game at Weingart Stadium. Filming is only going last for about 20 minutes, so don’t expect this football scene to have the same importance that the one in The Dark Knight Rises did.

The game is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m., with ELAC students acting as extras during the shooting. The first 2,000 people to sit in the filming area of the stadium will receive free t-shirts designed by director Zack Snyder.

For being the first official images from the film, I’m a little underwhelmed, but I’ll take what I can get. Since the football stadium is supposed to act as Gotham City University’s stadium, I imagine the shots will be used as part of the establishing shots to introduce Gotham City.

All right, enough sports talk. Back to reading my giant comic book stack.
