JACKMAN Claws At Naysayer Claiming DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Is An AVENGERS Knockoff

Okay, fan boys and fan girls, Days of Future Past is only about nine months away. If you’re like me then you’re digging out your wheel chairs and bald caps in anticipation for the biggest X-Men movie that has ever been seen. However, I have been reading a lot of hate comments on this movie. Some people are saying, “This is just an Avengers knock off” or “They are just trying to be The Avengers” but this where I say nay. I, personally, think this movie is going to be awesome. I mean you have young and old versions of the X-Men, a pretty epic story, and Jennifer Lawrence in full body blue paint. Now, I know that I am no expert so if you can’t take my word for it, why not Wolverine himself.

In a recent interview, Jackman, tried to put the fan boys and girls at ease by talking about Days of Future Past and the allegations that they are trying to be The Avengers:

“I think some people are saying, “Ah, this just sounds like an excuse to get all these actors together and make an Avengers-style movie,” but the truth is that it’s a great script and Bryan is very ambitious to make the best movie of them all. He’s got the biggest cast, the biggest budget, and he started it all, so it’s his legacy. He’s a fan of time-travel movies, and the detail that’s gone into it is incredible. I’m quietly confident that it will be the biggest and the best of them all.”

I won’t pass judgment on the film till I see the final product but to hear him say that makes the fan boy jump gleefully around. I have faith in Jackman. He is an amazing stage and film actor that knows his stuff and wouldn’t lead us down wrong path again. Not like he did with X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I would even go so far to say “In Hugh I trust”. Days of Future Past travels to the past on May 23, 2014.
