How Prometheus Should Have Ended, From Start to Finish

When highly anticipated sort-of-but-not-really prequel Prometheus hit cinemas in early June, the reaction was decidedly ‘meh’, and when you compare it to the pre-release hype, it was pretty much the biggest disappointment of 2012 (who would’ve thought that The Amazing Spider-Man would have a higher Rotten Tomatoes score?), with plot holes a mile wide and some slightly dodgy characterization. The reaction was not decidedly “meh”. It has a 74% Rotten Tomato rating and grossed over 300,000,000. Yeah, it didnt perform as well as hoped for but it was more than a profitable, successful film. Those “mile-wide” plot holes have more to do with you not understanding the story, than weakness. Personal opinion does not equal fact. Just saying

I’d say the reaction was underwhelming for sure. The flick definitely didn’t satisfy all the hype that surrounded it in the months leading to its release.

It was a good movie, no doubt, but in terms of hype, I think it just fell short of expectations.
