Go Bohemian With New SUICIDE SQUAD Trailer

Kevin Smith hosted DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League on the CW tonight, a half-hour special that gave us first looks at each of the major superheroes joining the DCEU. But in addition to our heroes, we got a look at the WORST. HEROES. EVER.

The special included a new Suicide Squad trailer, set to the tune of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody.” It may sound like an odd choice, but it turns out to be about the most awesome thing you can imagine. Not only is it somehow oddly fitting in a way that’s hard to really pin down, but whoever cut the trailer did an excellent job of cutting certain parts to match the beat of the music. Seriously, check it out for yourself.

Between Jai Courtney drinking a beer as Captain Boomerang, some new footage of Jared Leto as the Joker, and a lot of great new lines by Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, there’s a lot to like in this trailer. Also gotta love Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag giving his own two cents on the team, such as Will Smith’s Deadshot, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s Killer Croc, Cara Delevingne’s Enchantress and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo. Probably the least featured character between the original first look and this new official trailer is Adam Beach’s Slipknot. But with or without him, this has to be one of the most refreshingly original trailers ever created.

See the worst heroes ever do what bad guys do when Suicide Squad releases on August 5.
