Drew Goddard Expresses Interest In The DAREDEVIL Reboot

Writer of Cloverfield and director of this year’s horror hit Cabin in the Woods Drew Goddard revealed in an interview with Collider that he has a great interest in Daredevil and expressed interest in writing or directing the new reboot. David Slade recently departed from the project, and it was also rumoured last week that if Fox doesn’t get production on the movie started by September, the rights revert back to Marvel.

“If we could find the right project, I would love to do it. You’re talking to a guy who had quotes from Daredevil painted on his walls growing up… Fox has most of the stuff that was on my walls as a kid!”

“Conversations always happen, but until anything’s official, who knows? But I’ll definitely put it out there that I love all these characters. I’m a Marvel/DC kid.”

I’m a big fan of Goddard, and would be happy to see him write/direct the Daredevil reboot, at either Fox or Marvel, or any other comic book character that he could add a dark element to (Batman reboot anybody?). What do you think? Watch the full interview with Collider below, where he talks about more interesting stuff.
