Don Cheadle And Simon McBurney Joining AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

After seeing War Machine in full badass mode in Iron Man 2 we assumed that we were going to see him return for Avengers, unfortunately that wasn’t to be, however Don Cheadle is now talking about his involvement in Avengers: Age of Ultron. USAToday spoke with Cheadle, which he confirms having a part (Iron Patriot?) in the sequel but doesn’t clarify how large. Our dream would be to see War Machine fighting side-by-side with the other Avengers but that might too much to ask for, considering we’re already getting three more additions to the character lineup with Ultron (James Spader), Quicksilver (Aaron Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizebeth Olsen).

Another bit of news comes from BleedingCool which is reporting that British actor Simon McBurney (Tinker Tailor Solider Spy, Robin Hood) could have a role as well, his role isn’t entirely known but it’s possible he’ll be playing Stark’s butler (life model decoy or human?) in the film, even more interesting is that that he refers to him as Jarvis. Paul Bettany plays the voice of Tony’s A.I. Jarvis, but this doesn’t mean that Paul is getting replaced.

I understand that Simon McBurney is in line to take a role though, as of yet, I haven’t been able to confirm if he’s signed, in negotiations or simply “attached.” Nor can I confirm who he’d be playing, though I have been told he’ll be the new Jarvis. Not a computer voice Jarvis, mind you, but an actual Butler called Jarvis – or at least called Jarvis by Tony Stark.
