Concept Art For Unused IRON MAN Armour From THE AVENGERS Surfaces

You’ve probably noticed we don’t usually post (unused) concept art or anything like that here at UTF, but I thought this one was an exception because it’s so damn awesome. Adi Granov, one of the top artists working in comics – and the artist behind Extremis which Iron Man 3 is based on – is also a concept artist for MCU movies. Bleeding Cool noticed that he’s got himself a Tumblr account and has posted some awesome stuff on there, including an unused Iron Man suit from The Avengers. This reminds me more of a War Machine suit than an Iron Man suit. It does make me wonder how this would have been used in the context of the plot; was this gonna be the original Mark VII, with the codename ‘The Fucking Awesome Tank Suit’? I guess we’ll never know, but it’d be interesting to see if it pops up in a future Iron Man/Avengers movie.
