CHRONICLE Star Michael B. Jordan In Talks To Play Human Torch In FANTASTIC FOUR

Filming for Josh Trank’s reboot of Fantastic Four begins this July, so naturally we’ve began to hear a lot of news about it this past weel. Latino Review reported a potential logline for the movie (), but that was debunked within the hour by the movie’s writer. Then it was said that Girls‘ Allison Williams was on the shortlist for Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, but given this new piece of news I think that one might be a bit unlikely…

Michael B. Jordan, star of last year’s excellent found-footage superhero movie Chronicle, is reportedly in talks to play Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the movie as per The Wrap. Chronicle was one of my favourite film of last year, and Jordan was a definite highlight from it. That film was also the reason Josh Trank gets to helm FF; they’re both directed by him.

Obviously there might be a bit of uproar about this, due to the race change, but I’m fine with it. It’s not an essential part of Storm’s character (e.g. Black Panther being white would be morbid) and Jordan is a great enough actor to do the role justice. What do you think?
