Bond 23 ALL the details

50 years to the day after the unveiling of Sean Connery as James Bond we learn about the latest installment in the James Bond saga!

This official title for the film is (as heavily rumoured) Skyfall.
Personally I’m not a fan of the title, there are still plenty of Flemming titles which could be used but it isn’t godawful at least.

The film will shoot at Pinewood Studios, Scotland, Whitehall in London and Turkey.

Ben Whishaw, Albert Finney, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Bérénice Marlohe and Naomie Harris are all officially part of the cast, with Daniel Craig and Dame Judi Dench returning. (Ben Whishaw, Albert Finney and Ralph Fiennes aren’t at the press conference though)
Bérénice Marlohe will play Severin. Naomie Harris who was heavily rumoured to play Moneypenny will in actual fact play a field agent called Eve (could that be Miss Moneypenny’s first name?)

As of yet no word on who will sing the theme, they are currently weighing up several options.

The villainous organisation of Quantum which were the driving force behind the bad guys in the last 2 films will not be making an appearance in Skyfall, it is it’s own standalone film.

Oh and the film starts shooting TODAY! and since Craig is beardless for the press conference we can assume the rumours printed by The Sun about James Bond sporting a beard are bogus (not that I ever believe anything that rag says anyway, and I implore all our readers not to touch that paper after the lies they printed regarding the Hillsborough tragedy).

Personally I think this sounds incredible! (well other than the title that is) I am a huge fan of Ian Flemmings James Bond books and think Daniel Craig’s portrayal of the british super spy has been almost perfect (hell I even made my own Daniel Craig James Bond action figure…. and I don’t even like action figures!). So to say I am psyched for round 3 with Craig is an understatement, hopefully it will be more like Casino Royale than Quantum of Solace (which I still found perfectly enjoyable).

In SKYFALL, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.

It’s a short one but it’s intriguing to say the least!
