Bilbo Stares In First Poster For THE HOBBIT: THE DESOLATION OF SMAUG

Now we’re officially six months away from the release of Warner Bros’ next huge tentpole, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and their aggressive marketing campaign for Man of Steel reaches it’s end as the movie hits theaters at the end of the week, it’s time for the next round of marketing. Tolkien fans have been dying to see something from this movie since the disappointing An Unexpected Journey last Christmas, and we’ve got it. Check out the first poster for the movie below!

Quite dark and depressing, isn’t it? The previous installment was rather light-hearted and kinda sucked because of it so I’m hoping this is a sign that the tone of the movie will get a shift come December.
