I know The Avengers just debuted, and i should be quite content with that Whedon masterpiece, but I’m already jonesing for another Marvel Studios flick. Since Iron Man 3 is next on the schedule with a May 2013 release date, it looks like the ol’ Shellhead has reclaimed his rightful place as my favorite cinematic obsession. Well, information about the sequel has been pretty sparse, but Ben Kingsley, who plays a yet to be revealed villain, spoke about the film in a recent interview…
“I’m filming ‘Ender’s Game’ in New Orleans right now and then I go onto a film called ‘ The Physician,’ which is a beautiful film about a physician and then I go into ‘Iron Man,'”
“Quite soon I’ll be with everybody and we’ll be discussing the look and the feel and the direction of the character. It’s very early days yet, but I’m so thrilled to be on board.”
Why are you looking at me like that? I didn’t claim that he spoke about it at length! What can I say? Kingsley favors brevity.
But back to the serious stuff… who do you think he’ll play? I don’t care what Director Shane Black has said, I’m calling it right now: Kingsley is the Mandarin!
Or maybe not, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
