First Clear Look At The Vision In AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

Earlier this year at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel released a conceptual art poster of the protagonists of Avengers: Age of Ultron fighting the titular villain’s robot henchmen. This poster was also technically our first look at The Vision, who will be played by Paul Bettany in the film. However, with the poster’s muted colors and Vision’s back to the viewer, it’s a less-than-stellar first look. All we really saw was that he has the cape, and that yellow and red has been incorporated into the costume.

See what I mean?

See what I mean?

Well, unless someone went to the trouble of designing a fake, huge Avengers poster just to get the Internet riled up, it seems we have the real deal! A clear look at Marvel’s favorite multi-colored android. The picture was originally posted on Instagram, but the account has since been taken down. However, remember one of the basic lessons from Internet 101: just because something is deleted doesn’t mean it goes away. The guy in the picture is blocking one of the Avengers (I’m guessing Black Widow), but it doesn’t matter because Vision out in the open right next to the God of Thunder.

Vision-Avengers

Obviously this is another artwork poster, but when Marvel eventually releases a live-action image of Bettany all Visioned up (Marvel, get on that), it’s a good bet he’ll look similar to this. The colors are more muted compared to his comic book counterpart, and there does seem to be slight differences in the design (the gloves and boots being red, the diamond chest pattern), but other than that, this is an impressive look for him. It’s another fine example of staying faithful to the comic book appearance while mixing in a hint of realism. Good job, Marvel! Now give us a teaser trailer!
