Remember The Phantom Menace was re-released in 3D back in February? Yeah we don’t like to. Anyway, @EricIGN has confirmed that the 3D re-release dates for Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith are September 20, 2013 and October 11, 2013, nearly a month a part. The news was announced at the annual Star Wars Celebration event, where they also showed off some 3D footage of the next two prequels. Unfortunately making things pop out of the screen in these movies won’t make them any better.
Besides Episode II 3D footage they also showed us a piece of opening battle from Revenge of the Sith 3D. Looked pretty freaking spectacular.
