Terminator Salvation-The Final Battle 11_Preview PageThere’s no doubt in my mind, that this title right here is one of the best comics in the history of this franchise bar none. With a strong creative team at its back, familiar foundation and enough personality to win over even the most discerning fanboy or fangirl there’s just no logical reason not to give this book a look. And this latest release is more of the same plus a little bit extra.

J. Michael Straczynski has taken Terminator Salvation, a movie with mixed feedback to say the least, and made what feels like a proper sequel and conclusion to the aged machine. The cyborg infested landscape within this text is on the verge of coming full circle and if you thought for an instant that the description was pulling your leg, just wait. All I’ll say is that John Connor takes some considerably interesting steps in the Final Battle of this Future War so followers should be prepared for anything.

The visuals by Pete Woods from #1 on struck a cord with me. Each page and panel may not be drenched in a barrage of sensory detail but they ooze with personality. And when adapting a film or TV show the art either emulates what we know or makes the property new again from fresh eyes. What we get here is the latter as this talent stands on sturdy ground, especially with our more mechanical players. Add in the colors by Matt Wilson and this is a mission success, no doubt.

Terminator Salvation: The Final Battle #11 is an entertaining penultimate issue. Fans are given an action packed entry that’s headed toward its rapidly approaching conclusion, and for all the build up this comic delivers what it needs to as it comes recommended.
