With all that’s happening should fans of the Grimm Fairy Tales line-up even pay attention to this land of madness? Read on to find out.

The official description from Zenescope:

The Queen of Spades is revealed as the grand manipulator behind the evil that has been plaguing Calie’s and Viloet’s lives. As Calie leads their ragtag team of warriors toward Spades, hoping to take her down for good, they remain unaware that they are being watched by the Void, the embodiment of Wonderland itself.

GFT Wonderland 24_Variant CoverThis franchise absolutely feels like a saga that’s about ready to burst. There’s so much building up that this creative team easily charts their course toward what should be an iconic #25. Following the added layer of insanity offered in Wonderland: Age of Darkness there’s no doubt that, especially as this one comes to a close, there’s plenty for followers to get excited about.

Eric M. Esquivel delivers another rock solid script that thoroughly sets the stage for what’s coming. From beginning to end the author keeps the focus on Calie and Violet Liddle as they surround themselves with a forming team of somewhat allies. Conundrums arise as a thought provoking interaction begs to question who the real powers are in this land littered with madness. The scribe hammers out key points of conversation but there were a few bits of dialogue that came off rather clunky, even so the bulk of the work flowed well enough.

From Clubs to Spades  Jacob Bear yields some impressive visuals as this representation of Wonderland gets underway. The talent effortlessly builds up a believable array of illustrations that are apt to the requirements of the text but resistant to potentially bland realities. Add in the colors done by Leonardo Paciarotti and the entire book carries the look and feel that it honestly deserves. To sum up: this is a pleasing display that’s bound to earn attention from even the most critical audience member.

Grimm Fairy Tales presents Wonderland #24 is a without a doubt a sturdy entry that rises above as the anticipation for #25 builds. This yarn easily earns a recommendation.
