Copperhead #6 Review

Copperhead! ‘Nuff Said!

The official description from Image:

It’s payday at the copper mine, which means Sheriff Clara Bronson is in for a particularly rowdy Friday night. Plus, Boo is offered an intriguing partnership.

Copperhead 6 CoverWelcome to the first issue of the second arc! Welcome to Copperhead. If you haven’t read the story to this point, this is a fine jumping on point. Though, you will want to take a look at the first trade. It sets up some of the character back-stories a bit more – and really – this is a stellar series.

There has been a bit of a hiatus, but things have come back with quite the bang. This action packed issue doesn’t leave anything to be desired.

Jay Faerber has found the formula for a great space western. It is a fantastic mix of action, drama, and comedy. Nothing seems overplayed, and there is just enough going on to keep several interesting plot lines moving. I continue to be impressed and always look forward to the next issue.

The Art. WOW. I love it. Scott Godlewski is KILLING IT. Ever since I fell in love with how he draws Sheriff Bronson’s nose, I was hooked. But seriously. Look through the pages of this issue and tell me there isn’t something that amazes you. The character designs are out of this world (haha!) and the big action / world shots are mesmerizing.

So, whether you are a seasoned COPPERHEAD reader, or you just saddled up, you will not be disappointed in the start of this new arc!
