The official description from Image:

On the third day of Christmas, Penny Dora found herself face-to-face with a horde of fire-breathing dragons, oodles of monsters, and at least seven dwarves. All thanks to the girl she used to call best friend, now known as Princess Elizabeth, who ruled over all the lands with her all-powerful Wishing Box.

Penny Dora has been having a heck of a time since her friend has had the wishing box. Elizabeth starts out as a good friend but with this box she has turned out to be a total monster. This issue deals with Elizabeth taking her power too far and turning Penny into her servant. It is really telling about the character and you really feel bad for Penny as she sees her friend doing these terrible things, not only to her, but to her whole family. It all comes to a head with a plan that Elizabeth has about her brother but he will not go down without a fight.

Michael Stock is a really great writer, especially for kids. This story has a lot of morality with the people in it. You can see the way that a person can turn bad in realistic way but with a magical twist on it. I do love where this story is going and I really love the main character.

Sina Grace brings the characters to life, with the wonderful drawing that is brought forth. It works on so many levels in the realistic and the fantasy part of it as well.

Penny Dora and the Wishing Box #4 is a fantastic addition and a great kids story.
