Halo: Escalation #3 Review

With the Covenant closing on our heroes, what is going to happen in the newest issue based on the popular video game? Read on to find out.

Commander Palmer confronts the traitor who has betrayed her team, as the Covenant closes in on their position. With time running out, Lasky is forced to make a costly sacrifice to save the peace delegation from the impending attack.

With everything that has happened so far, I didn’t think that this could 22705get any more exciting but boy was I wrong. The traitor has been identified and now Commander Palmer is kicking ass and taking names. I mean she is vicious and unforgiving, which is an awesome change of pace. The Spartans are totally being badass in this this issue and they are showing why they are Spartans. It is a very quick issue and it moves even faster. The twist from the last issue is developed even more and works well. However, the big thing that I would say works well is sacrifice that Lasky makes. I will say that it is heartbreaking and well worth looking at from different perspectives. It is something that is very nice to see but, also, kind of unnerving.

The writing is fast paced and very well done. There is some slow burn but there is something to it that makes the pay off so good and worth every panel. I, personally, think that the way that the writer portrays women is fantastic. I am and always have been a fan of strong independent women and this series does well with showing that.

The art is popping and fantastic. It keeps up with the writing and expresses everything needed for this comic book.

Halo: Escalation #3 is a nice, fast paced, work that is a good thing.
