Guillermo Del Toro has been associated with DC hero Deadman for a while now but news has hit that he is interesting in doing a DC team up film with a supernatural slant. Of Course Del Toro is no stranger to the supernatual team movie, with the much overlooked Hellboy 1 and 2 utilizing this idea brilliantly.
Latino Review released a barrel load of glorious tid bits but one bit that stood out about the upcoming project Heaven Sent was that he wants to do:
“his own version of the Avengers, just supernaturally. Called Heaven Sent he is combining all the magical beings from DC Comics in one epic adventure. Deadman, The Spectre, Swamp Thing, Constantine Hellblazer, Phantom Stranger, Zatanna, Zatara, and Sargon as well as Etrigan the Demon will team up to no doubt save us from the Stay Puft Marshmallow man. Now this one is a ways away, but Warner’s lawyers have been working every night trying to clear the rights to all these characters.”
Of course this will be a nightmare for Warner to wrap up the rights to all of these characters but with Del Toro helming it could be outstanding. This is definitely one to keep your eyes on.
