There’s so much suffering going on is this title, is it really something that we should be enjoying on a monthly basis?  Read on to find out.

The official description from Zenescope:

Reeling from the loss of his son, Patrick finds himself searching for answers as to who the mysterious pale woman is and what part she may have played in his death. But even as he begins his search, Keres, the Goddess of Death, reveals that this may only be just the beginning.

Grimm Fairy Tales presents No Tomorrow 3_CThis comic book series has got to be one of the most deeply written and personally shocking I’ve had the pleasure to cover for UTF.  The creative team behind it has wasted no time, as they push and pull our primary characters in ways that are sure to be unsettling.  From beginning to end there’s a lot to adore and with only a few minor bumps in the narrative road there’s plenty to garner the attention of loyal fans.

It’s hard dealing with subjects that people would most ideally like to avoid in their creative positions, but not Raven Gregory, who has seen fit to use this outlandish idea of death personified as an imperfect person, to hold up a magnifying glass to human suffering.  It’s a nuanced approach that easily wins me over, and it becomes more and more effective it as the author makes way for final moments of the release.  In short: this is a potent tale that’s sure to get the blood flowing in even the cautious participants.

Luca Claretti does a solid job bringing the visual component to life.  He builds up a natural world, that focuses on characters that might seem a bit less than worthy of the stage they share with highborns and falsebloods, but the talent finds a way to make you forget about that.  He delivers just enough spice to make the whole of the endeavor both visually engaging and absolutely worthwhile.

Grimm Fairy Tales presents No Tomorrow #3 is the mid-point of what feels like one of the best original pieces in this shared universe.  Highly recommended.
