EMERALD CITY COMICON: The First Day

We open on another cold day in Seattle, but you’d never know it if you were lucky enough to find yourself in the halls of the Washington Convention Center. Behold: the Emerald City Comicon.

Within you found a spacious spread chock-full of fanboys and fangirls that were dressed to impress.

MY MOTTO AT ANY CON:

Throw that cash up in the air like you just don’t care!

I’m kind of kidding, but truth is between taking pictures of the intrepid cosplayers and doing interviews with talents I bought some very unnecessary things. But so did everyone else!

I got to see familiar faces, like the awesome Stephan Franck and even was fortunate enough to meet a literary idol in the form of Scott Snyder. Add in my chat with Matt Hawkins at the Top Cow booth and you have a man that’s ready to shout with glee!

All things considered it wasn’t perfect but it rocked.

Now to rest and prep for tomorrow’s batch of shenanigans.
